 At ClearRoute we work in a hybrid, flexible way, with two days a week onsite in our office in Farringdon where this role will be based from.  Unfortunately we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.

Role:

We are seeking an experienced Python Developer with strong experience building and deploying scalable systems. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Python backend frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask, and a proven track record of designing high-performance APIs and data-intensive services.

You will have the opportunity to work on backend platforms that integrate AI-driven components, including Agentic AI systems, LLM integrations, and Azure automation services. This role focuses on building robust, scalable backend architectures that support large volumes of data, real-time processing, and intelligent workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop core AI primitives using state-of-the-art LLM technologies

• Build full-stack components for the Automated Code Modernisation agent

• Create data pipelines to support AI model training, fine-tuning and evaluation

• Implement context-aware generation capabilities with organisational guardrails

• Contribute to the value measurement framework for AI adoption

Required Skills & Experience:

• Expert knowledge of generative AI, LLM architectures and prompt engineering

• Strong Python development skills with experience in AI/ML frameworks

• Data engineering experience, particularly with unstructured and code-related data

• Full-stack development capabilities across frontend and backend systems

• Experience with vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

• Knowledge of AI evaluation metrics and performance optimisation
